Matthew 5:16 (NIV) ~ 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
There’s a light inside all of us.
Too many people squint and turn away from the light. Let your eyes adjust and bathe in the radiance.
There are times when we dim our light to let others shine. In a world that may seem off-skewed at times, so many people are afraid to speak up for fear of what others have to say or think about them.
Because we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we need to determine when and how our spiritual light is being filtered or blocked. We can work from the outside inward, but our truth is our light, not our darkness is what frightens us the most. As Marianne Williamson says “We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.”
We are the only ones with the power to dim our own lights, and as we clear away the layers we can begin to feel the warmth of our light shining once again.
We control how brightly our light shines. Why don’t we maximize our full potential?

Great post! We ought to dim our light sometimes, so that some others’ can shine; and that we are the determinant of everything that happens to us.
Thank you Peter. It’s fine to dim our light some of the times but the other person should find the faith and the confidence to shine as well. Good point.
You are right!
Being a child of God entitles you to greatness. That’s also my conviction.
Encouraging piece 👍❤️
